Small batch apple crumble perfect for 2 (two) servings/ persons. Cinnamon flavoured sweet, buttery, caramelised apples topped with a golden crunchy oat and flour crumble.
Perfect small batch, warm and cozy, buttery apple crumble recipe that is so easy and delicious. With the best crunchy crumble topping made of oats, flour, butter and sugar, this apple crumble recipe is one of my favourite egg less recipes ever. This dessert is the first recipe that comes to mind when I think of a fall dessert perfect for autumn season! Serve with a scoop of ice cream of just as is... every bite screams of warm apples and your kitchen will surely smell heavenly (so much cinnamon!!)
This small batch version of homemade apple crumble (that is perfect for 2 servings) is adapted from the crowd pleasing large serving apple crumble recipe from my blog. Its way easier and less complicated than making apple crisp or a traditional apple pie from scratch. Plus this recipe is easily made without eggs! In comparison to my apple crisp recipe: I used white caster sugar instead of brown sugar and honestly, it just worked fine! You can use any sugar or even both! Plus replacement of unsalted butter with salted butter gave me a yummier apple crumple, truly to die for! The little amount of salt (you could also add a pinch of salt instead) totally balances the sweetness of this perfect fall recipe and goes very well with the cinnamon flavor.

Most asked questions for Apple Crumble
What kind of apples do I use for apple pie? I live in India and the varieties we have access to or the variety my US audience has access to may not match. Granny Smith is the safest choice here.
What kind of sugar should I use for my apple desserts? I love using a mix of light brown, dark brown and regular white caster sugar. Either one or mix of all three is good.
How do I reheat my apple crumble? Leftovers can be covered with foil and transferred to fridge. When you wish to eat, leave it on the counter for 10 mins while your oven pre-heats and bake just for 6-8 mins at 250F/150 degree celsius until warm and crumbly again.
