Nohemi
Hello,
Really excited to try this recipe! I just had a quick question. On your description at the top, you mention hoisin sauce, however on the actual recipe thereβs no hoisin sauce. Is that optional? How much should be used? Thank you!!
Sheenam & Muskaan
Hi Nohemi, thank you for your comment. Yes, 1 tbsp on hoisin sauce for this recipe. It is not a must, but definitely recommended. I will just add that to the recipe card- thanks for bringing that up and good luck with the recipe. Hope you enjoy π
M
I'm sorry. Where should I add the housing sauce? Thanks!
Sheenam & Muskaan
Hi, please add it in step 3 - together with all other sauce. Just fixed the recipes card π thank you for bringing this up.

Hi thanks for this lovely recipe. Just a quick question.... do you strain everything to serve or is this more like a ramen soup?
Sheenam & Muskaan
Hi, I dont strain them π - honestly, there is not much of liquid left in the recipe post cooking so this is not like a soup. Enjoy the recipe.
Kim
I added 3 cups of water and ended up with a soupy dish at the end. I would add two cups and see how that ended.
Sheenam & Muskaan
Hi Kim, the ramen that I use here in India, call for 1.5 cups of water for every 1 pack - probably different ratio for what you used. Hope you still liked the recipe.

This was so delicious and can not wait to make this again! The sauce was divine with complex flavors. I added half of the sricha and the spice amount was just right for my husband and kids (I added some extra for me at end :)). Really need to be sure to cook out most of the water after adding the noodles to let the flavors really come through. May want to try this wonderful sauce with beef, broccoli, etc next time.

This dish is so simple and flavorful. I make my own hoisin sauce with almond butter, palm sugar, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha, and garlic because my daughter is vegan and I didnβt know if the store-bought stuff was vegan. Other than that, I followed it exactly. We love it. It is just a tad soupy so we use chopsticks and a spoon to eat it.
