Thick and creamy delicious homemade mango lassi made with just four ingredients: mango, yogurt (dahi), sugar and milk, making this a perfect drink for a warm day.
This is probably the shortest blog post that I write because this recipe for delicious Indian style mango lassi is literally made in one step and with just four ingredients. This is literally what I am having since a week every morning for breakfast, with a slice of vegetable cheese toast.
Mango lassi always reminds me of my trip to London in 2015 with Muskaan where we went to a muti-cusine restaurant which also had an Indian kitchen and to our surprise they had a big board outside featuring mango lassi. This happened for the next two-three days where we saw mango lassi being a "thing" in the foreign country which we had not expected.
While we love making a thick mango shake every second day, specially in warm summer days when a chilled drink (almost like milkshake) is what you need to make it better, this thick and creamy mango lassi is simply the milkshake mango shake version where milk is replaced with some yogurt or curd (dahi), giving it a smoothie like consistency, which makes it so good!
It is highly recommended making mango lassi with fresh mangoes - we have always used fresh mangoes and also mostly always use homemade dahi (curd) but store brought yogurt would be fine too, only thicker.
