Description

Toasted pan fried gnocchi tossed in a simple garlic butter 'sauce', topped generously with parmesan - easy vegetarian meal for a busy week night.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 grams store bought gnocchi - see note 1
  • 3 tbsp regular salted butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil gnocchi as per package instructions or until its floating on the surface of the water. Do not overcook. Drain and keep aside.
  2. In a pan, add butter and let that melt on medium heat.
  3. Add gnocchi and garlic and let cook for 4-5 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Add salt, pepper and toss the gnocchi until it turns light brownish-golden in colour.
  5. Add parmesan cheese, mix well and serve.

Notes

Note 1: Make sure you cook gnocchi only until it reaches the surface of the water and begins to float. Drain immediately and do not rinse. Add directly to the garlic butter 'sauce'.
