Creamy Mushroom Toast

Description

Three mushroom creamy toast with shiitake mushrooms, oyster mushrooms and button mushrooms and cream - perfect for a fancy breakfast treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Sourdough Bread
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 20 grams Shiitake Mushrooms (dry)
  • 20 grams Oyster Mushrooms (dry)
  • 150 grams Button Mushrooms
  • 3/4 cup Cream
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Thyme
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Spring Onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame Seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add hot boiling water to shiitake mushrooms and oyster mushrooms keep covered for twenty minutes.
  2. Slice button mushrooms and keep aside.
  3. In a pan, heat some olive oil and add the mushrooms to it - spreading evenly across the pan. Let cook for 4-5 minutes on medium low heat.
  4. Once the mushrooms are cooked and lightly crunchy, add the garlic and let cook for about one minutes on medium low flame.
  5. Once the mushrooms and garlic is cooked, add the cream, parsley, salt and pepper. Cook for less than one minute on medium low heat and take it off the flame.
  6. Slice the bread and put some butter on each of the slice.
  7. Transfer it to an oven/ pan or griller and toast until it is golden brown on both the sides.
  8. Add the mushroom mixture on the toasted bread and sprinkle some sesame seeds/ spring onions. Enjoy.
