Tahini paste
- 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup water
Hummus
- 1 1/2 cups boiled chickpeas
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp tahini paste
- 1 medium garlic clove (crushed)
- 2 tbsp leftover chickpea water (or just water)
- salt
Instructions
- Prepare tahini paste by blending together toasted sesame seeds and water. Keep aside to be used later for hummus. (read above blog post for details)
- In a blender add the boiled chickpeas, tahini paste, lemon juice, olive oil, water, salt, pepper and garlic. Blend until everything comes together, refrigerate the dip for about an hour and serve with lavash or vegetables.
