Apple Pie Spring Rolls

Description

Cinnamon apple pie spring rolls (or egg rolls) topped with powdered sugar and homemade salted caramel sauce. So easy and so fun to make!


Ingredients

  • 3 cups apples (cubed)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 10 spring roll sheets
  • oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add butter, cinnamon and apples. Cook for 2 minutes on medium low heat. 
  2. Add two tables spoons water and cook for three to four minutes.
  3. Add corn flour and remaining water and cook for a couple of minutes or until the apples are soft and the mixture has thickened. Let cool for five to ten minutes.
  4. Grab the spring roll sheets or egg roll sheets and transfer 2 tbsp of apple cinnamon mixture on the sheet. Fold and deep fry until golden brown.
  5. Optional - dust some icing sugar and salted caramel sauce. Serve.

Notes

For airfryer method: simply brush the egg roll wrappers with some olive oil (or use a spray) & bake/ cook in air fryer at 400 degrees for about 6-8 mins - (air fryer brand may vary therefore pls check after 6 mins) flip and cook for additional 2 mins if needed.
